Ed Farm

A first-of-its-kind initiative in higher education, Propel Center is the Global HBCU Headquarters for Innovation and Learning dedicated to extending the proud legacy and impact of Historically Black Colleges and Institutions. Propel Center, which launched in January 2021, was designed by the Birmingham-based nonprofit Ed Farm and funded in partnership with Apple Inc. and Southern Company. In collaboration with all 100+ HBCUs, the Propel Center will serve as a catalytic epicenter of learning, through in-person and virtual programming, that provides students with the knowledge, skills, tools and resources necessary to transform the nation’s talent pipeline and build generations of Black leaders who advance equity and justice through technology, education, and social impact.
